Energy Performance Certificates
What is an Energy Performance Certificate?
An Energy Performance Certificate contains ratings that compare the current energy efficiency and estimated costs of energy use with potential figures that your home could achieve and gives information on how to make your home more energy efficient and reduce your energy costs.
The law requires every home that is put on the market must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
We need to have your EPC available so that we can supply copies of it to your potential buyers, should they ask for it and so that we can include certain information with your property sales particulars.
Currently we can start marketing as soon as an EPC has been requested
What does an Energy Performance Certificate contain?
An Energy Performance Certificate contains information
• on your home's energy use and typical energy costs
• a recommendation report with suggestions to reduce energy use and save money
• details of the person who carried out the EPC assessment
• who to contact if you want to make a complaint
How do I get an Energy Performance Certificate?
We can arrange an EPC for you or you can obtain one yourself from other sources such as specialist EPC providers.
